Jack Dorsey is a software engineer and the Co-founder and CEO of both Square, Inc. and the social media platform, Twitter, respectively founded in 2009 and 2006.

Dorsey serves as an Adviser of Thrive Capital and is a Member of the Advisory Board of Techonomy Media Inc. He also served as an Independent Director of The Walt Disney Company from December 20, 2013 to March 8, 2018, and was an advisor for Open Places (AKA Trazzler, Inc.).

Dorsey was a student at University of Missouri - Rolla, later New York University, which he dropped out of and left his job as a programmer at a bike courier dispatch service in 1999 to move to San Francisco.
