Dr. Jack Gilbert is a distinguished expert in everyday ethics, leadership, and large-scale organizational change. A Clinical Professor at Arizona State University, Dr. Gilbert has built a reputation for innovative teaching and a deep commitment to ethical leadership. As a keynote speaker, breakout presenter, and workshop facilitator, he captivates audiences with content-rich, respectfully provocative, and entertaining presentations. Throughout his career, Dr. Gilbert has worked as a management consultant across a variety of industries, including financial services, healthcare, information technology, manufacturing, and retail. His experience has shaped his approach to leadership and ethical decision-making, helping organizations navigate complex challenges and achieve transformative change. As an author, he has written "Strengthening Ethical Wisdom," "The Heart of Leadership" (co-authored with Barbara Balik), and "Gilbert’s Fables." His book "Strengthening Ethical Wisdom" was named recommended reading by the American College of Healthcare Executives' Hamilton Book Award Committee in 2007. He has also been recognized for his contributions to the field with the Service Award from the American College of Healthcare Executives in 2008, and his earlier work "Productivity Management" received HIMSS' Book of the Year Award in 1990.

Dr. Gilbert earned his Ed.D. from The George Washington University, where his dissertation focused on the role of ethics in decision-making for senior executives. He also holds a Master's degree in Systems Management from Lancaster University and a Bachelor's degree in Administration from North London College. In addition to his role at Arizona State University, Dr. Gilbert is an adjunct faculty member at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. His research interests include strengthening everyday ethics through leadership, culture, and infrastructure, values-driven leadership, and facilitating large-scale change through innovation and stakeholder engagement. Dr. Gilbert’s contributions to leadership and ethics have earned him lasting recognition in both academic and professional circles.
