Television Chef, Known for Fresh and Simple Asian Cuisine

Born in Hong Kong and raised in North Platte, Nebraska, Jaden Hair's specialty is Asian cooking that's fast, fresh, and simple. She is a television chef, food columnist and award-winning food blogger at Steamy Kitchen.

Steamy Kitchen began as a way for her to keep track of the recipes her mom would send her, with a focus on modern Asian cooking, and has evolved into featuring cuisines from around the world. The blog started with a humble audience of three: Jaden’s husband, her mother-in-law, and herself, but it quickly built a following that swelled to 1.5 million pageviews per month. Within six months, Jaden was offered a book deal. In 2009, The Steamy Kitchen Cookbook debuted, featuring over 101 Asian recipes.

You can watch her cook twice a month on Daytime Show, syndicated in 120 markets. Jaden is a food columnist for Discovery Health, TLC and for Tampa Tribune. With over 85,000 followers, Jaden is one of the most influential people in food on Twitter.

Jaden is a frequent panelist speaker at top food blogging conferences, such as BlogHer Food, and she was ranked No. 1 on Slashfood’s list of of “Sexy Chefs: 10 Hottest Women in the Food Industry 2011." She has been featured on the “Today Show,” “CBS Early Show,” Martha Stewart Living Radio, Oprah.com, and Parents Magazine. She was recently named one of the best food bloggers on Forbes.com.

Jaden has done programs with Hallmark, Dole Salads, Pork Board, Cooking.com (Which she has created two custom products) and Hannaford Supermarket.

Jaden lives in Sarasota, Florida with her husband, Scott and her two young boys, Andrew and Nathan, who love to eat almost as much as she does. The tots can stir fry a batch of fried rice like a master chef!

Her husband, Scott, is also part of the Steamy Kitchen team, he’s the web developer that makes the magic on the site happen.
