In 12 years, Jake has done more than most people do in their entire career. From making the fastest Super Computer in Europe, to adding Artificial Intelligence into a Linux Kernel, to creating websites which got millions of page view, to creating and selling a company in under 8 months, Jake has experiences that others can learn from.

Jake started his career at IBM as a systems engineer getting their million dollar servers to run for the first time. After quickly moving up the corporate ladder, he went back to MBA school to figure out how to go off on his own.

Before Jake made the leap, he did he went to a startup which made MySQL and Memcached run 8 times faster than the open source version. While the technology was a success, it was not being adopted into the marketplace. And when the startup was started to run low on money, Jake started Crowd Ignite.

Just as the startup laid off all of the engineers, Jake's business Crowd Ignite started taking off getting 16 million impressions in the first 3 months. 5 months later, it was acquired by Evolve Media.

Jake is now an entrepreneur, mentor, company advisor, angel investor and family man (not necessarily in that order).

During his career, Jake has spoken at a number of times. Presenting white papers at technology conferences as well as giving career advice to computer science graduates coming out of school.
