Jake Owen
Country Music Artist Known for Singles Like "Barefood Blue Jean Night" & "Real Life"; Founder, The Jake Owen Foundation
Jake Owen, a country music singer and songwriter, has been an active figure in the music industry since 2005. Signing with RCA Nashville in 2006, Owen released his debut studio album "Startin' with Me" that same year, featuring the top 20 hits "Yee Haw," "Startin' with Me," and "Something About a Woman." His following albums, "Easy Does It" and "Barefoot Blue Jean Night," released in 2009 and 2011, respectively, have seen similar success, with the latter producing his first number one hit with the title track. His title track from the 2013 album "Days of Gold" and the single "Beachin'" also climbed the charts.
Owen has not only made a name for himself with his chart-topping hits but also through his extensive work as an opening act for several major country artists, such as Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, and Keith Urban. He has continued to produce music under the Big Loud label since 2017, including the albums "Greetings from... Jake" and "Loose Cannon" in 2019 and 2023, respectively. He even co-wrote the song "Good Time Getting There" for Dallas Smith's album released in October 2023. In 2023, Owen released his seventh studio album, "Loose Cannon," and performed his single, "Days Of Gold," on Fallon.
Throughout his career, Owen has been recognized for his talent, winning the Academy of Country Music Award for Top New Male Vocalist in 2008 and earning nominations for several awards at the American Country Awards and the 2023 CCMA Awards. Owen has used his platform for good, founding a charity that has raised over $3 million to support youth organizations and children battling cancer. He has also shown support for the LGBT community, performing a live cover of "Believe" by Cher during gay pride month in June 2019.
