English Singer-Songwriter Known for "Say You Won't Let Go"; Season Nine Winner of "The X Factor"

James Arthur first came into the public eye after his victorious stint on the ninth season of "The X Factor" in 2012. His debut single, a cover of Shontelle's "Impossible," topped the UK Singles Chart and garnered worldwide sales of over 2.5 million copies. In 2013, Arthur released his self-titled debut studio album "James Arthur," which charted at number two on the UK Albums Chart. Following a brief separation from Simon Cowell's record label Syco, Arthur signed with Columbia Records in 2015.

Arthur's second studio album, "Back from the Edge," debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart in 2016. The album's lead single, "Say You Won't Let Go," also topped the UK Singles Chart and has sold close to 2.7 million copies. His third studio album, "You", released in 2019, also peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart. In 2021, Arthur signed with Columbia Records UK and Columbia Records Germany.

Arthur's recent work includes the album "It'll All Make Sense in the End." His single "Say You Won't Let Go" not only topped the charts, but also won him several awards, including the NRJ Music Award for International Breakthrough of the Year and a BMI Pop Award. His autobiography "Back to the Boy" was published in 2017. Collaborations with fellow artists such as Machine Gun Kelly and Anne-Marie, and his guest appearances on shows and music festivals, have further enhanced Arthur's musical career.
