James Dana    

Professor of Economics and Strategy at Northeastern University; Visiting Scholar in the Strategy Unit at Harvard Business School

James Dana is a visiting scholar in the Strategy Unit at Harvard and has been since 2007.

He is Professor of Economics and Strategy at Northeastern University. He is a leading researcher in theoretical industrial organization, competitive strategy, and operations management, with emphasis on pricing under uncertainty, corporate strategies for managing demand uncertainty, and revenue management.

Prior to joining the faculty at Northeastern, Professor Dana was Associate Professor with Tenure in the Management and Strategy department of the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

Professor Dana holds a BA in Economics from Yale University and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
