CEO & President of JPMorgan Chase

James Dimon became Chairman of the Board on December 31, 2006, and has been Chief Executive Officer and President of JPMorgan Chase since December 31, 2005. He had been President and Chief Operating Officer since JPMorgan Chases merger with Bank One Corporation in July 2004. At Bank One, he had been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since March 2000. Prior to Bank One, Dimon had held various senior executive positions at Citigroup Inc., its subsidiary, Salomon Smith Barney, and its predecessor company, Travelers Group, Inc.

Dimon is a graduate of Tufts University and received an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a director of The College Fund/UNCF and serves on the Board of Directors of The Federal Reserve Bank of New York, The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse, the University of Chicago and Harvard Business School, and is on the Board of Trustees of New York University School of Medicine.

JPMorgan Chase to Put $75 Million Toward Career, Technical Education
JPMorgan Chase has announced plans to put $75 million toward career technical education programs with an emphasis on training for middle skill positions in an effort to combat youth unemployment. The New Skills for Youth Initiative will push states across the country to put money into demand-driven career education programs with the hopes of reducing the high unemployment rate currently facing 16 to 24-year-olds, especially among minority youth.
