As one of the hosts of the mega-hit Discovery show "MythBusters," Jamie Hyneman, along with fellow host Adam Savage, mixed scientific method with gleeful curiosity and plain old-fashioned ingenuity to create their own signature style of explosive experimentation. Best known as the host and Executive Producer, Hyneman's work on "MythBusters" involved testing unusual and dangerous situations, often involving literal trials by fire.

Jamie's diverse background ranges from being a wilderness survival expert, boat captain, diver, and linguist, to animal wrangler, machinist, and cook. He also earned a degree in Russian languages and ran a sailing/diving charter business in the Caribbean before moving to the visual-effects industry. With a notable career progression, he eventually managed the production of models and special effects at Colossal Pictures' model shop, leading to him taking over the business and creating M5 Industries, Inc.

Currently, Jamie focuses on developing cutting-edge projects such as remote-controlled fireproof firefighting tanks, blast-proof armor, and ultra-fast naval vessels through M5 Industries. His latest ventures also include creating a new type of personal protective equipment (PPE) and developing technologies for harnessing geothermal energy. As a lifetime member of the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators and the National Science Teachers Association, Jamie continues to contribute to fields ranging from defense to green technology, ensuring that M5’s business prospers through innovative and diversified projects.
