Academy Award-Winning Actress, Activist, Author; Best Known For Her Roles in "Halloween," "Freaky Friday" & "Everything Everywhere All At Once"
Jamie Lee Curtis is an acclaimed actress with starring roles in such films as "Freaky Friday," "True Lies," "Trading Places," "A Fish Called Wanda" and the "Halloween" franchise. She received her first Academy Award nomination and win for Best Supporting Actress for "Everything Everywhere All at Once." With a genre-spanning body of work and 45 years as actress and producer, her accolades also include a BAFTA, two Golden Globes, and nominations for an Emmy and a Grammy. She is also the recipient of the Venice International Film Festival's Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement. In 2023, Forbes named her to their "50 Over 50" list.
In television, Curtis co-starred opposite Richard Lewis in the sitcom "Anything But Love," as well as the title role in TNT’s adaptation of Wendy Wasserstein’s play, "The Heidi Chronicles," and the CBS telefilm "Nicholas’ Gift." Over the years, she has appeared regularly on the small screen on "NCIS," "Veronica Mars," "New Girl" and "Scream Queens," among others.
Curtis is also an author of best-selling children’s books, having published 13 children's books since 1993. She has a deep and active connection to many children’s charities, and served on the Board of Directors at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She launched My Hand In Yours, a gift-product company whose entire proceeds go to the hospital.
Curtis, a recovering alcoholic/addict, also served on the Board of Directors of The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University (CASA) and The Scott Hitt Foundation.
