She is the Founder and President of Trendera, an innovative marketing and media consulting firm focusing on digital and non-traditional trend forecasting. Jane works with clients, including Target, Loreal, Warner Bros., Cosmopolitan, Chanel, Microsoft, Coca Cola, The CW, and many other Fortune 500 companies.

Buckingham founded and sold The Intelligence Group, a consulting and trend-forecasting company that focuses on Gen X and Y. She created the leading trend study, The Cassandra Report, as well as Trendcentral, a daily trend e-mail.

At 17, Buckingham wrote Teens Speak Out, a revolutionary book about teens her age. In 2004, she wrote the bestselling book, The Modern Girls Guide to Life, and was the host of the Style Network series of the same name. She published The Modern Girls Guide to Motherhood in 2006, and later, The Modern Girls Guide to Sticky Situations in 2010. Buckingham also wrote Whats Next: 50 of America's Most Compelling People Predict the Future (HarperCollins, 2008). She is a contributing editor to Cosmopolitan and regularly appears on nationally broadcast shows such as Good Morning America and The View. Jane has been featured in The New York Times and Los Angeles Times, Fortune, and The Boston Globe. She was also named one of the 25 most powerful women in Hollywood by Elle. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Marcus Buckingham, and children, Jack and Lilia.
