Janet Pogue McLaurin  

Principal, Global Workplace Research Leader at Gensler

Drawing on her experience in strategy, research and design, Janet Pogue McLaurin is one of Gensler’s key thought leaders on how the physical workplace can impact work. Her entire career has focused on how design can boost performance, innovation and well-being in the workplace. She has been instrumental in the research underlying Gensler’s 2008 and 2013 Workplace Surveys and in the development of Gensler’s Workplace Performance Index® (WPI), which measures workplace effectiveness.

A current Workplace Leader and a member of the 2015 Management Committee, she also formerly served as a Managing Director of Gensler’s Denver office and co-founder of the Shanghai office. Pogue frequently discusses workplace design in media outlets such as Fast Company, The Wall Street Journal and Fortune. She also mentors and oversees joint research on architecture and design with Florida State University graduate students and has served as a guest faculty member at Harvard University’s Learning Innovations Laboratories (LILA).
