Former Assistant United States Attorney, Author

An Arizona native, Janet (Patterson) Ruth served as an Assistant United States Attorney for five years, beginning as a prosecutor and later focusing on appeals. She left full-time work when she became a mother, serving as a part-time staff attorney for the Department of Veteran's Affairs and as an adjunct instructor in the Administration of Justice Studies Department at one of the largest community colleges in the nation. Janet has taught classes in Procedural Criminal Law, Substantive Criminal Law, and Constitutional Law.

Janet's first published book was Brenin's Crown, a historical romance set in the fifth century in Devon, England. Although not written for the Christian market, Brenin's Crown contains an underlying Christian theme of faith in God.

After a four year stay in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Janet has returned to Arizona where she stays home to be more involved with her two children, her local church, and other volunteer work. She has also enjoyed
