Janet Woodcock has held prominent positions within the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). As of my last update in January 2022, she was serving as the Acting Commissioner of the FDA until February 17, 2022. As Principal Deputy Commissioner, she works closely with the Commissioner to develop and implement key public health initiatives and oversees the agency's daily functions.

Woodcock's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA, and a Doctor of Medicine from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. She is also board-certified in internal medicine.
