Janice Chang is the Chief Executive Officer at TransCelerate, a member-based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health of people around the world by simplifying and accelerating the research and development of new medicines. Since her appointment as CEO in 2023, Chang has worked closely with TransCelerate’s board of directors to identify and shape a new aspiration for the organization focused on driving the convergence of clinical research and clinical care. Under her leadership, TransCelerate has also extended its horizon for collaboration beyond the world of global biopharma companies to include other stakeholders across the R&D ecosystem.

Chang’s ongoing responsibilities include defining organizational priorities and overseeing the delivery of more than 20 active initiatives. With her trademark high energy, commitment and courage, Chang also leads TransCelerate’s engagement with global health authorities, governmental agencies, academic research institutions, and industry consortia. She has been involved with TransCelerate since its inception in 2012 and has more than 20 years of experience leading initiatives in large pharma and biotech companies across regulatory, clinical, and manufacturing.

Chang holds a dual degree from the University of Pennsylvania and The Wharton School.
