Founder and Managing Director of Ageing Asia

Janice Chia is the founder and managing director of Ageing Asia, Asia’s first aging market consultancy social enterprise, with the mission to drive innovation in the way future generations age by engaging the business community to create better products and services that will enable healthy, independent and dignified aging.

Chia has accumulated her vast experience from visiting over 250 residential and aged-care homes in over 15 countries.

Since 2009, she has been actively involved in consulting organisations seeking global best practices in housing, health and care models that can be adapted for the Asian market. She is regularly quoted in the media on Asia-Pacific business trends in aging.

Chia has also launched several industry innovations, including ASPIRE55 Singapore, Asia’s first virtual retirement village, a well-being community that offers a combination of social, health and care services and enables members to continue living in their existing homes.

She successfully launched her anchor event brand, Ageing Asia Investment Forum (AAIF) in Singapore in 2010. Her mission for the AAIF series is to increase private sector investments in products and services that will enhance the quality of life, health and functional capability of elders in Asia.

In 2012, she launched the Ageing Asia Alliance – Asia’s first industry network on the business of aging. Today, the network has over 1700 members that regularly meet at by-invitation-only networking functions to access new investment opportunities.
