Politics Reporter at NOTUS & Former White House Reporter on CNN

Jasmine Wright is a politics reporter at NOTUS. Prior to that, she was a reporter at CNN, where she covered the White House, worked as an embed on the 2020 campaign covering then-Senator Kamala Harris, and covered the 2018 midterms.

Prior to joining CNN, she was a reporter-producer at PBS NewsHour covering North Korea, climate disasters and the Trump administration. In that role, she wrote and produced countless tape pieces on Congress, the White House and the Russia investigation for the daily news show. Before that, Wright helped covered the 2016 election as the Political Unit’s production assistant.

She is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.

A proud Chicagoan, Wright was born and raised in the Windy City and graduated with honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
