Prior to Crowdfund Capital Advisors (CCA) Jason worked with US national medical societies, the FDA and pharmaceutical manufacturers to change outdated regulations, dramatically increasing patient safety while reducing time and costs for physicians and the pharmaceutical industry. When the credit crunch hit, Jason saw the need for changes to outdated securities laws and did something about it. As a co-founder of Startup Exemption, he co-authored the crowdfund investing framework used in the JOBS Act to legalize equity and debt based crowdfunding.

He was honored to attend the White House ceremony when President Obama signed it into law on April 5, 2012. As a co-founder and principal at CCA, Jason works with clients ranging from governments and NGOs that are seeking ways to boost economic development and political stability to investment firms seeking access to increase deal flow that crowdfund investing creates. Jason serves as an advisor to several crowdfunding industry companies giving him a unique understanding of this rapidly evolving ecosystem. As an industry leader, Jason contributes to several publications including VentureBeat and TechCrunch. He is an author of "Crowdfund Investing for Dummies" published by Wiley & Son's.

Jason is very active in the crowdfunding industry; he is a co-founder and co-chair of the Crowdfunding Professional Association which is the global industry advocacy organization for crowdfunding. He is a co-founder of the CrowdFunding Intermediary Regulatory Advocates (CFIRA) the self-regulatory association for the crowdfunding industry currently working with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and FINRA to establish and maintain crowdfunding rules and industry best practices. Additionally, he is a member of the board of the European Crowdfunding Network and the Canadian Technology Alliance. He also sits on the council of The Crowdfunding Accreditation for Platform Standards (CAPS), which promotes best practices for the operation of crowdfunding platforms globally.

Jason regularly speaks at conferences around the world discussing crowdfund investing as a new asset class, how it supports both economic growth and political stability, and provides an onramp to professional capital for high growth businesses. He also discusses what it takes to be an entrepreneur and how to build winning companies. He has delivered U.S. Congressional testimony, led crowdfunding industry meetings with the SEC and FINRA, and speaks to governments and investors on four continents. He engages discussion on the theory and utilization of the CCA Crowdfund Investment Framework as a starting point to enable capacity and infrastructure for new early-stage investment vehicles. He has also been honored to attend and speak at the Global Innovation Summit, Globe Forum in Stockholm Sweden, the Global Entrepreneurship Forum in Dubai and a Brookings Institute working group for building a consensus agenda for innovation.
