Jason Gray

Contemporary Christian Singer-Songwriter

Jason Gray is a contemporary Christian singer-songwriter. Prior to changing his stage name to Jason Gray, Gray released music under his birth name, Jason Gay. Under the name Jason Gay, he released three independent albums.

Gray, who was born and raised in southwestern Minnesota, spent six years in youth ministry before going into full-time music ministry in 1999. As a person with a stutter, much of Gray's creative output emphasizes finding strength in weakness. Gray released his major-label debut album, All the Lovely Losers, in 2007. Christianity Today has called Gray one of "Christian music's best-kept secrets."

Gray has toured alongside such prominent Christian artists as Natalie Grant, Francesca Battistelli, and Lauren Daigle. He has had the honor of sharing the stage with artists such as Steven Curtis Chapman, Sanctus Real, and Matthew W. Smith.

Also a philanthropist, Gray is known for his advocacy of AIDS orphans. Gray understands his service to those in need as a form of worship, and he has done humanitarian work with World Vision's "Hope Initiative," which addresses the needs of children orphaned by AIDS.

In June of 2016, Gray released his fifth studio album, Where The Light Gets In, which hit #5 on the Top Christian Albums chart in the U.S.
