Jason Richwine  

Senior Policy Analyst, Empirical Studies

Jason Richwine conducts quantitative analyses on a wide variety of social policy issues, among them immigration, education, welfare and family structure. Richwine, The Heritage Foundation’s senior policy analyst in empirical studies, joined the Domestic Policy Studies department in January 2012. Previously, he was part of the think tank’s Center for Data Analysis, which provides the public policy community with state-of-the-art modeling, database products and research assistance. Richwine’s analysis and articles have appeared in major newspapers such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and Dallas Morning News and in political journals such as National Review and The American Spectator. Before joining Heritage in March 2010, Richwine worked at the American Enterprise Institute on a dissertation fellowship. He received his doctorate in public policy in 2009 from Harvard University. He holds bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and political science from American University. He lives with his wife and son in Dunkirk, Md., but always will be a Philadelphian at heart.
