Javier Verdura is the Global Director of Product Design at Tesla. He has led hundreds of projects, from vehicle components to the design of the companies’ iconic Superchargers, as well as the design of Tesla’s groundbreaking energy products like the Solar Roof and Powerwall.

Prior to Tesla, Verdura had been a design consultant, part-time educator, and consultant for over 20 years. He has designed everything from surgical equipment to consumer products and packaging, amassing more than 130 patents in the process. He has been recognized by his peers by winning many of the industry's most prestigious awards.

Mexico City-born Javier Verdura graduated from Art Center College of Design with a degree in Product Design. He has taught Industrial Design at Georgia Tech’s School of Design and Architecture, as well as the University of Monterrey, Mexico.
