Jay Cameron has established himself as a successful play write, film producer, radio personality, entrepreneur, consultant, musician and speaker. He is founder and CEO of Urban Change, a community outreach organization, which has reached more than 100,000 people worldwide through his cutting-edge stage plays and creative, live seminars. Jay has inspired thousands to make significant, life-changing choices that have led them on the journey towards success.

Jay Cameron started his public speaking journey at the age of 14 when he was invited to speak at the South Korean Embassy about the issues facing urban communities. Soon after, Jay began participating in speech competitions. After graduating high school, Jay moved to Atlanta, GA and began his career as a marketing and promotions consultant for radio station special events and concerts featuring top recording artists. As a result, Jay developed a solid reputation for his creativity and aggressive marketing strategies. Jay Cameron is considered by many to be a “marketing and promotions genius” because of the overwhelming success of the events he has sponsored and consulted over the past 20 years. Jay has been an event consultant for more than 15 years and has served as a marketing and promotions advisor to Fortune 500 companies and non-profit organizations that have reached more than one million people worldwide. Jay has also developed keen leadership skills under the instruction of New York Times Best Selling Author, Dr. John C. Maxwell.

As a native Washingtonian, he is well aware of the challenges facing today’s communities. There was a desire in Jay to make a change and difference in his community; hence, the birth of his entertaining and inspiring stage-plays. Understanding how performing arts can effectively communicate messages, Jay endeavored to produce events that encouraged lasting life-change. These true-to-life productions have created a “buzz” in cities all over the country for more than nine years. Jay has written and produced Fame (an original production), Irreconcilable Differences (marriage), For the Love of Money (financial management), SEXPOSE` (abstinence/family issues), The Church Mafia (spiritual abuse) and Love, ‘Lationships and Drama (singles and relationships) - all of which focus on real-life situations. Somehow, Jay finds and delivers effective solutions that will not only entertain you, but also help you make life changes. In addition, Jay Cameron has birthed The Keep It Tight Crew which is a campaign geared toward girls and teens as well as young adult women teaching them the importance of abstinence. He has a similar group for boys and young men, Hold It Down that focuses on abstinence, self-confidence and personal development.

With a combination of passion, humor and dynamic delivery, Jay Cameron is also one of the most recognized voices in Washington, DC radio, having hosted two number one shows on one of the area’s top-rated radio stations. Presently, Jay is developing “Life Radio” and “Life TV” which will focus on encouraging people from all walks of life to make wise choices. As an avid video editor, Jay has produced films, television commercials, music videos and live seminars that address the issues facing today’s society. He also has plans to launch his own video production company.

As a highly sought after speaker, Jay travels all over the country delivering inspiring messages. Jay Cameron and his wife Latricia have produced a variety of family oriented seminars: “The Marriage Bootcamp,” Raising A Child When The Other Parent Is Missing In Action” and “Toxic People” are a few produced and hosted by the Cameron team. In 2008, Jay will launched Life Camp; a performing arts enrichment camp for children ages 4 to 14 focusing on teaching children dancing, acting, singing, public speaking, video production while also focusing on building life skills, character and self-esteem. In 2010, Jay opened Theatrical Fusion Dinner Theatre which is geared towards offering quality, positive entertainment. In addition, Jay has honed 20 years of marketing and promotions experience in to the “Marketing Madness Seminar”. This easy-to-follow, one or two day seminar, offers practical wisdom and insight into successfully presenting an event, ministry or business to the public.

In 2008, Jay’s passion for helping the underprivileged in the community inspired him to found Life Day – The 10,000 Back To School Bookbag Giveaway. This event was the first of its kind to provide 10,000 students with a bookbag and school supplies in the greater Washington DC area. This event garnered support from actors Hill Harper, Lamman Rucker, Kellie Williams, singers Ginuwine and Sole and financial expert Lynette Khalfani-Cox.

In February of 2004, Jay along with his wife, Latricia founded The Life Center Church. The goal of The Life Center is to lead people to Christ and to develop mature disciples of Christ. As a Pastor, Jay's focus is the people that God has entrusted him to lead. His passion is to see them grow in their relationship with Christ. Jay understands that many people have been wounded by life’s circumstances and ultimately need spiritual and emotional healing. Since its inception, The Life Center has helped thousands regain their footing in life for God’s glory.

Jay and Latricia are the proud parents of four children and currently reside in suburban Washington, D.C.
