Dr. Nash received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Purdue University School of Pharmacy and Pharmacal Sciences in 1984 and 1986, respectively. He completed a Research Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University, 1986-1988, and worked as an Assistant Professor in Biological Psychiatry in the School of Medicine until 1992.

For the past 18 years, Dr. Nash has worked at The Procter & Gamble Company as a toxicologist. His primary responsibilities include the human safety assessment of topically applied cosmetic and non-prescription drug products. He has developed expertise in photobiology/phototoxicology with experience in in vitro, animal and human phototoxicity models and efficacy/safety testing of sunscreen products. As well, Dr Nash has expertise in the human safety evaluation of light- and energy-based devices used for treatment of skin and hair.
