Five-Time NBA All-Star for the Boston Celtics; Two-Time Olympic Gold Medalist for Team USA

Jayson Tatum is a professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Tatum attended the Chaminade College Preparatory School in St. Louis County, where he was named the 2016 Gatorade National Player of the Year and was rated as a five-star recruit. He played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils. During his freshman season, Tatum played 29 games, averaging 16.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. He received several accolades, including being named to the All-ACC Tournament team and ACC All-Freshman teams.

He was selected with the third overall pick by the Boston Celtics in the 2017 NBA draft. Tatum recorded a double-double in his NBA debut, with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and was named the Eastern Conference's Rookie of the Month for December 2017. He was voted to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2018. Tatum has made significant strides in his professional career, being a five-time NBA All-Star, a four-time All-NBA selection, and winning the NBA Eastern Conference Finals Most Valuable Player award in 2022. He also set the record for most points scored in an NBA All-Star Game (55) and in a Game 7 of any NBA playoffs series (51). Tatum became the youngest Celtic to reach 10,000 career points at 25 years and 246 days of age and was the only player in Celtics history to average at least 30 points per game in a season, with a 30.1 points per game average in the 2022-23 season.

In addition to his NBA career, Tatum has represented Team USA and achieved significant success. He won gold medals with the 2020 and 2024 U.S. Olympic teams and represented Team USA at the 2016 Nike Hoop Summit. He also participated in the 2014 FIBA Under-17 World Championship and 2015 FIBA Under-19 World Championship, making the Eurobasket.com All-World Championship U19 Second Team. Off the court, Tatum has endorsement deals with companies like Jordan Brand, Subway, Imo's Pizza, and Gatorade. He also partnered with SoFi to launch an initiative to boost financial literacy and home ownership in his hometown of St. Louis, and his foundation received a $1 million gift to help the St. Louis community.
