Jeannine Carter
Founder, CEO & Chief Innovator of Incluvations; Expert on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Racial Healing & Transformation
Jeannine Carter, Founder, CEO & Chief Innovator at Incluvations, is a recognized leader, consultant, facilitator, and speaker with over 20 years experience in the global Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) field. She has worked on complex efforts, across many dimensions of diversity, in multiple industries having assisted many Fortune 500 companies, small organizations, and institutions in achieving their goals.
Carter’s inspirational style delivers a rare blend of impactful stories with actionable strategies within the world of diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging (DEIB), and healing, helping cross cultural divides and bridges while creating systemic change. Her commitment is to help people transform themselves so that they can transform the world.
Carter is laser-focused on modeling and teaching inclusive leadership which can be seen through her humility, vulnerability, and courage as she shares her lessons learned, even the most challenging ones. She pulls from her wealth of experience to assist people along the change journey to design preventative approaches and transformative innovations that contribute to change.
Carter is able to question the dualities of either/or and zero sum games that animate homogeneous or exclusive thought and behavior. Importantly, she also stands on the foundation that was established as a child having to navigate her world of racial and cross-cultural differences and the territory that came with that; and leverages the pride that comes from being a part of a family of ‘firsts’, ‘onlys’, ‘others’, and ‘outsiders’.
Carter has held internal senior leadership positions at companies, such as Facebook, Deloitte & Touche, Denver Public Schools, and Newmont Mining Corporation. Additionally, while at The Kaleidoscope Group, a firm she co-founded, Carter also served as an external diversity and inclusion consultant serving multiple industries. She received her B.A. from Stanford University in International Relations and MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Philanthropically, Carter serves as a board member and advisor of organizations such as Black Star Fund, Summer Search and The Moxie Exchange.
In the field of diversity and inclusion, Carter is known as a thought leader of thought leaders and guide.
