Former Head Coach of the Los Angeles Rams & Tennessee Titans

Jeff Fisher is a former American football coach and former player. He served as a head coach in the National Football League (NFL) for 22 seasons, primarily with the Tennessee Titans franchise. He coached the Titans for 17 seasons and Los Angeles Rams franchise for five seasons.

Fisher began his career in football as an All-American wide receiver at Taft High School in Woodland Hills, California. In college, Fisher played for the University of Southern California. Fisher and the Trojans won a national championship during the 1978 season, and in 1980 he was honored as a Pac-10 All-Academic selection.

Fisher was drafted in the seventh round of the 1981 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears.He appeared in 49 games as a defensive back and return specialist in his five seasons with the Bears. Although he was injured, Fisher earned a Super Bowl ring after Chicago's 1985 Super Bowl Season.

During his injury, Fisher started his coaching career served the Bears as a defensive assistant. Fisher joined the Philadelphia Eagles as a defensive backs coach and was shortly promoted to defensive coordinator.

In 1994, Fisher was hired on to be the defensive coordinator for the Houston Oilers. He was named official head coach in 1995, and took the previous season’s record of 2-14 and turning it to a 7-9 for his first official season as head coach. Fischer would serve as head coach for the Oilers, which became the Tennessee Titans for 17 seasons

In 2012, Fisher was hired by the Rams, and served as head coach until 2016.
