Jeffrey Charles Twiggs is the Senior Pastor of Freedom Movement Church and has been called to pour into the lives of God’s people through passionate preaching and teaching, intense worship and discipleship. The Lord has given Jeff a multi-cultural and multi-generational vision for ministry that has a solid foundation of the unconditional love of God, the truth of His Word, and the power of His Spirit. Through many years of training, God has been preparing Jeff for this life-calling.

Jeff was born in Washington, DC on October 22, 1973. He attended North Carolina A&T State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. After years of wayward living, the Lord stepped in and changed his heart forever. On November 8, 1998, the Holy Spirit led Jeff to rededicate his life to Jesus Christ and he joined the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Washington, DC. At Metropolitan Baptist. Jeff formally answered his call to the preaching ministry and delivered his initial sermon on January 28, 2003. The Lord has given Jeff a heart for helping people grow in their relationship with God through teaching, worship, evangelism and discipleship.

Jeff served at New Samaritan Baptist Church from 2005 to 2009 and at Jubilee Christian Church from 2010-2012. As Youth Pastor and Minister of Music, the Lord blessed Jeff to help students discover who they are in Christ through the teaching of God’s Word, and cultivating a heart for authentic worship.

Jeff also serves at Fellowship Bible Church in Roswell, GA as the Director of “The Landing”, which is a recovery ministry for students and families dealing with hurts, habits and hang-ups due to past pain. The Lord looks to completely restore them and transform their pain into purpose. He serves as the Lead Teacher, Music Director of the Praise Team and the young adult men’s small group leader while working together with his wife Teraza.

Jeff has been commissioned to plant Freedom Movement Church after completing Fellowship Bible Church’s Church Planting Residency Program under the tutelage and leadership of Dr. Crawford Loritts. While walking in this assignment, Jeff is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity Degree. Along with his beautiful wife Teraza, they have three incredible children, Heaven, Jeffrey II and Kristen. Jeff prays that the Lord will continue to be glorified in his life.
