Jeffrey Archer was educated at Oxford University. He served five years in Britain’s House of Commons and has been a Member of the House of Lords for over fourteen years. His tenure in politics also included a role as Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party. Archer's experience in the House of Commons, combined with his significant involvement in the House of Lords and his insights into British politics, inform his keynote speeches on topics like British politics and 'How to write a bestseller.'
Archer has authored numerous international bestsellers, with his novels and short story collections—including "Kane and Abel," "Sons of Fortune," and "False Impression"—selling over 250 million copies worldwide. He holds the unique distinction of being the only author to have been a number one bestseller in fiction (nineteen times), short stories (four times), and non-fiction with his highly acclaimed "The Prison Diaries." His literary works are available in more than 100 countries and have been translated into over 51 languages.
Outside of his writing and political career, Archer has dedicated significant efforts towards charitable causes, serving as a charity auctioneer at over 1,000 events and helping to raise millions of pounds for various charities. Archer is married with two children and splits his time between London and Cambridge.
