Jenny Lynn Anderson

Corporate Journalist, Sexual Assault Survivor & Author of "Room 939"

Jenny Lynn Anderson was a well-respected veteran corporate journalist 25 years into her career when at a business conference, she became the victim of a hotel invasion, robbery, and brutal sexual assault.

During her 25 years as a corporate journalist, Anderson established and maintained a highly respected reputation for her evocative reporting, allowing her readers an ease for absorbing her messages.

In 2010, fighting depression and exhaustion, she searched for the courage to regain control of her life again. She decided to confront my fears and angst by sharing her story in writing. She finally released the details of the assault – that moment that had defined her for 20 years.

Now as a first-time author and inspirational speaker, the responses to her first book "Room 939: 15 Minutes of Horror, 20 Years of Healing" are of the same acclaim-captivating and detailed, allowing the reader to be soundly charged with her message of hope, courage and restoration.

Today, Anderson uses her voice to shed light on sexual assault and its impact on our lives and the lives of our family members.

A 1985 graduate of Georgia Southern University, majoring in Public Relations, Anderson resides in Statesboro, Georgia with her husband, Mark and daughters, Morgan and Allison. Currently, she serves as Community Relations Coordinator of Willow Pond Senior Living Community.
