Jerrod Niemann is a country music singer-songwriter known for singles such as "Lover, Lover" and "Drink to That All Night."
Born and raised in Kansas, Niemann cut his teeth on country and popular music while still a small child. He spent the majority of his college years in Texas performing in local clubs. Having written songs since the age of eight, he majored in Performance Art Technology at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas.
After signing a developmental deal with Mercury Records in 2003, he toured over half the country with his band "The Saloonitics" and has penned songs for Neal McCoy, Julie Roberts, Jamey Johnson, John Anderson, and Garth Brooks.
He scored his first #1 hit song with Garth Brooks' "Good Ride Cowboy," a tribute to Chris LeDoux that Niemann wrote. Other stars who have recorded songs written by Niemann include Blake Shelton, Colbie Caillat, Lee Brice, and Diamond Rio.
In 2010, he released the album Judge Jerrod & the Hung Jury, which debuted at #1 and yielded the #1 hit “Lover, Lover” and the Top 5 single “What Do You Want.”
In 2012, he released sophomore album Free The Music, which incorporated multiple genres including country, rock, honky-tonk, Dixieland jazz, and reggae and was co-produced by Dave Brainard.
"Drink to That All Night" was released in late 2013 as the first single off of his third album for Arista. The album, High Noon, was released in March 2014, debuting at #2 on the Billboard country album chart.
Niemann parted ways with Arista Nashville in January 2016, shortly after releasing another single titled "Blue Bandana". In March 2016, Niemann signed a record deal with Curb Records. His first single for the label was "A Little More Love," a duet with Lee Brice. It reached the top 30 of the Country Airplay chart.
In March 2017, Niemann released "God Made a Woman," which he called his "favorite song I’ve ever recorded." Niemann's then-wife was featured in the song's music video. It served as the lead-off single to his fourth studio album, This Ride, which was released via Curb Records on October 6, 2017. "I Got This" was released as the album's second single, and it peaked in the top 40 of the Country Airplay chart.
Niemann is also a philanthropist, having co-founded Free The Music USA, which provides musical equipment and education for children in need, in addition to supporting various animal rescues and the United Service Organizations.
