Jerry D. Guess is a serial entrepreneur, businessman and philanthropist. By the age of 23, he was a millionaire after signing over $100 million in deals within three months of launching his commercial hard money lending firm. A number of missteps resulted in fraud charges and in 2012, he was sentenced to 51 months in federal prison, 36 months of supervised release and ordered to pay over $2 million in restitution. In July of 2017, Mr. Guess was released completely from the system and he has used his second chance to focus on making positive contributions to society. In September of 2017, Mr. Guess founded Guess & Co. Corporation, a global stewardship solutions company. He re-launched The Guess Corporation in October of 2017, an entity plagued by challenges over the years, as a for-profit social enterprise company committed to operating businesses that provide viable employment for individuals with disabilities, those recovering from drug addiction, those exiting domestic violence relationships, single parents and convicted persons needing a second chance.
