CEO of Ingka Group (IKEA)

Jesper Brodin is the CEO of Ingka Group, the largest franchisee to operate under the IKEA brand. As the world’s largest home furnishing retailer, the Ingka Group owns and operates 358 stores in 30 countries under franchise agreements with Inter IKEA Systems.

Brodin's career with IKEA spans over 25 years, beginning with a purchase manager role in Pakistan. Over the years, he has held a variety of roles, including Assistant to IKEA Founder Ingvar Kamprad and to then IKEA Chief Executive Officer Anders Dahlvig; Business Area Manager, Kitchen and Dining; Regional Manager, China; Supply Chain Manager; and Managing Director of Sweden/Range & Supply, responsible for the development of the product range and supply chain of the IKEA Brand.

Brodin is known for his belief in values-based leadership and for his emphasis on togetherness; his vision for Ingka Group also spotlights sustainable development. He is a member of the World Economic Forum, advocating for wider climate commitments across the global retail sector.

Brodin was born in Gothenburg, Sweden, and holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden.
