Jessica Lomax

Design Director of Women's Apparel at Nike; Fashion Designer

Jessica Lomax is a fashion designer and the Design Director of Women's Apparel at Nike.

Growing up among a family of artists, architects and textile designers in Brighton in the U.K., Jessica was bound to end up in a creative career. She studied creative crafts at City College in Brighton, and womenswear fashion design at Istituto Marangoni, where she earned first class honors.

While studying womenswear design, Lomax was able to participate in internships from high-end fashion labels like Giles Deacon, Roksanda Illincic and Alexander McQueen. Her first full-time job was at Hussein Chalayan, working with Puma in London.

After she left Hussein Chalayan, she did some freelance work as a womenswear designer. She worked with a number of well-known companies, including Adidas, Aquascutum and Nasty Gal.

Jessica had always been passionate about sports and working out, so moving to Nike was a natural fit. For her work, she finds it beneficial not only to understand fashion design, but also to understand and participate in sports.

In 2014, Lomax started working at Nike as a Womenswear Apparel Designer in Inline Innovation, moving up to a senior position within two years. In April of 2017, she was promoted to Design Director Women's NSW Apparel. Lomax was given the title of Design Director Women's Apparel NY in the summer of 2018.
