Jessie Diggins

Cross Country Skier, 2018 Olympic Gold Medalist

On February 21st, 2018 Jessie lunged at the finish in an epic, come-from-behind victory to grasp an historic first-ever Olympic medal for Team USA’s Women’s Cross Country Team. Her ferocious attack over the closing 100 meters of the race electrified the capacity crowd and a global television audience, and will forever be remembered as the defining moment of the 2018 Olympic Games. Jessie’s herculean effort and infectious, positive energy not only won over the hearts of new fans worldwide, but also resulted in her being selected by her fellow Team USA athletes to carry the flag at the Closing Ceremony.

Diggins won the 2021 Tour de Ski, a first for an American. She placed atop the overall World Cup 2020–2021 season standings, claiming the biggest annual prize in cross-country skiing. Diggins' victory put her with Bill Koch, who won the men's title in 1982, to be the only Americans to win overall season titles for a World Cup cross-country ski circuit.

Speech Topics

Flow State

Jessie is known for her uncanny ability to go deep into the ‘Pain Cave’ as she calls it – which she clearly demonstrated to seal the deal for her new gold medal. She talks about Flow State (being in ‘the zone’) and how to create it in business and life in general.
Despite her incredible individual effort, she speaks passionately, in fact most passionately, about teamwork and how to identify and focus individual strengths for the greater good of the team.
