Jet is an Australian rock band formed in 2001 in Melbourne, Australia. The group is composed of lead guitarist Cameron Muncey, bassist Mark Wilson, and brothers Nic and Chris Cester on vocals/rhythm guitar and drums respectively.

Their debut album, “Get Born” was released in 2003. “Get Born” debuted at #3 and peaked at #1 on Australia's ARIAnet Albums chart and was certified 8x platinum. It peaked at #14 on the U.K. Albums chart and has peaked at #26 on the U.S. Billboard 200 Albums chart and was also certified platinum. “Are You Gonna Be My Girl?” peaked at #20 on the Australian ARIAnet Singles chart and was certified gold. It peaked at #16 on the U.K. Singles chart and #29 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart. The second single, “Rollover DJ,” was released in Australia peaking at #31 and the U.K. peaking at #34. The third single released was “Look What You've Done,” peaking at #14 in Australia and peaking at #28 in the U.K. It was also released as the third single in the U.S., and reached #37 on the Mainstream Rock chart. In the U.S., “Cold Hard Bitch” was released as the second single reaching #1 on the Billboard Modern Rock and Mainstream Rock charts and #55 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Their second album, “Shine On” was released in 2006. The album debuted at #3 on the Australian ARIA Albums chart and also went platinum. It also debuted and peaked at #13 on the U.K. Albums chart and #16 on the Billboard 200. The lead single, “Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is” reached #14 in Australia, #23 in the U.K. and #61 on the Hot 100. The second singles from the album, “Bring It on Back” in the U.K. and “Rip It Up” in Australia, were released in November 2006. The album also spawned an EP, also titled “Shine On” and released December 2006. The title track was released in March 2007 around the world as the third single (second single in some countries). The song is a tribute to Nic and Chris Cester's father, who died from cancer in 2004.

“Shaka Rock,” their third studio album, was released in 2009. The album peaked at #5 on the Australian ARIA Albums chart, #53 on the U.K. Albums chart and #27 on the Billboard 200. “She's a Genius” was the first single released from the album reaching the Top 20 on the ARIA Singles chart and the U.S. Billboard Alternative Songs and Mainstream Rock Tracks charts. “Black Hearts (On Fire)” was released as the second single from the album. “Seventeen” was released as the third single from “Shaka Rock” climbing up to #31 on the Australian Singles chart.
