Founder of Go Green Initiative, CEO of Buck Consulting & Former U.S. Naval Officer

Jill Buck is a business leader, founder, radio host and sustainability expert. In 2002, Buck founded the Go Green Initiative, a 501©3 that is the global leader in environmental education, operating in all 50 U.S. states, 73 countries, and on 5 continents. The program has been endorsed by the National School Boards Association (NSBA), National Recycling Coalition, 9 State PTA’s, California Integrated Waste Management Board, California Resource Recovery Association, and many more. Jill serves on the advisory board of the Green Schools National Network. She is also the host of Go Green Radio, a weekly program on the U.S.’s largest internet talk radio station.

In 2004, Buck founded Buck Consulting, which helps businesses achieve profitability through sustainability. She teaches business leaders how to quantify ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives in order to meet reporting standards for third party ratings like the Global Reporting Initiative, as well as the Dow Jones Sustainability Index and the NASDAQ Global Sustainability Index. Buck’s proven techniques help businesses drive revenue up and costs down through environmentally responsible business practices, and her training is applicable across all industry sectors.

Buck is a global thought leader in sustainable business systems. In August 2007, she was invited to serve on the International Appraisal Committee for the Daonong Center for Enterprise, a think tank formed by the China Entrepreneur Club. Buck was one of the VIP speakers for the 1st Green Business Summit in Beijing on Earth Day 2008, and has given training sessions in sustainable business practices at numerous conferences in China since that time. She serves as a Strategic Advisor for the Joint U.S. China Cooperative on Clean Energy (JUCCCE).

Buck is an international featured speaker at business, public policy, political, and environmental conventions, and is one of the nation’s leading advocates of free market solutions for environmental protection issues. She has been featured in such publications as U.S. Mayor, Working Mother Magazine, Women’s Health Magazine, Ebony Magazine, Diablo Magazine’s “Women to Watch”, Cleveland Business Connects Magazine, and Supermarket News.

Buck is an alumna of the University of Illinois, and after graduation, was commissioned a Naval Officer. While stationed at the Fleet Training Center, San Diego, she served as the Legal, Physical Security, Admin, and Command Inspection Officer, as well as a Damage Control Instructor. She is an honor graduate of the Military Justice School, and a graduate of the Navy’s small arms weapons course, taught by former Navy Seals.
