Jim Angle is a respected journalist at FOX News.

Jim Angle is one of the most respected journalists in Washington and was named Senior Washington Correspondent for Fox News in 2005. In this capacity he reports on overall political news from Washington, D.C., as well as broader issues including economic policies, tax reform, energy, immigration and the new Obama Administration. He is seen regularly on all Fox News programs including, Fox News Sunday and Special Report with Brit Hume, where he also serves as substitute host.

Previously, Angle served as Fox News Senior White House correspondent and was responsible for reporting on presidential activities nationally and internationally. Angle reported on the critical events during and following 9/11, The War in Iraq and anchored Fox News Sunday and their weekly program War on Terror. He has traveled extensively with the President. He was the only TV journalist to travel with President Bush on his historic trip to Baghdad to surprise the troops on Thanksgiving 2004. The Obama administration makes the fifth President he has covered in his years covering Washington & the White House.

Angle joined Fox in 1996, covering President Clintons presidency from reelection to impeachment and all his foreign travels. During Election 2000, Jim shadowed Vice-President Al Gore and secured several exclusive interviews with him while on the campaign trail. On election night, Jim Angle reported live from Gore headquarters in Nashville, TN throughout the Florida recount, which resulted in his winning the prestigious Merriman Smith Award for Excellence in Journalism.

A column in the Village Voice (January 2, 2001) praised Angle as one of the "most fair, incisive, and informed investigative reporters on the Washington scene." They went on to say that Angle equals "the standard that broadcast journalists Edward R. Murrow and Fred Friendly used to set..."

Angles reporting is credited with helping to propel Fox News to new prominence, often beating CNN in prime time, prompting USA Today to report, FOX is HOT and ANGLE is the INSIDE ANGLE!

Before joining Fox, Angle was senior correspondent for ABC News covering economic policy as well as politics. He was seen regularly on World News Tonight, Nightline, and Good Morning America receiving several awards for Excellence in Financial Journalism. He was also political correspondent for CNN and worked in public radio for 18 years, with stints in American Public Radio and National Public Radio. He was the well-known anchor and managing editor of Marketplace, the popular daily program on money and the economy. Before that, he was National Public Radio's Senior White House Correspondent during both the Reagan and Bush administrations.

Angle has received numerous awards and honors for his reporting. He has twice been honored with the Merriman Smith Memorial Award, awarded by the White House Correspondents' Association, for outstanding presidential news coverage under deadline pressure in the category for broadcast journalism, in 2003 and 2001. He also received the "Excellence in Financial Journalism Award" twice for his reporting on economic issues on Nightline in 1994 and 1995.

Jim has a Masters Degree from the University of Texas and served in the military in Berlin, Germany and Danang, Vietnam.
