In September 2021, Jim Lanzone became the CEO of Yahoo, following the acquisition of the company by Apollo. The seasoned executive previously served as CEO of Tinder, the world’s most popular app for meeting new people.

Jim is also the former Chief Digital Officer of CBS Corporation and President & CEO of CBS Interactive, a top 10 consumer Internet property with 300+ million users worldwide. One of the world's largest digital media companies, CBS Interactive properties include CBS All Access, CNET, CBS Sports Digital, CBSNews Digital, CBSN, GameSpot, Last.fm, Metacritic, 24/7 Sports, Scout Media, TV Guide, Chowhound, ZDNet, MaxPreps, MetroLyrics and more.

Jim joined CBS Interactive in March 2011 when CBS Corporation purchased Clicker Media, an Internet video search and programming guide, where he was founder and Chief Executive Officer. Before founding Clicker (funded by Benchmark Capital, Redpoint Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures and Allen & Company, among others), Jim served as Chief Executive Officer of Ask.com (formerly Ask Jeeves), a top 10 consumer Internet property and leading search engine owned by IAC/InterActiveCorp. Prior to his role as CEO, Lanzone served as General Manager of Ask Jeeves U.S. and Senior Vice President of Product Management. Lanzone joined Ask Jeeves in 2001 after its acquisition of eTour.com, where he was co-founder and president. Ask Jeeves was acquired by IAC in 2005.

Lanzone is a member of the board of directors at GoPro and the Newport Festivals Foundation, producer of the annual Newport Folk Festival and Newport Jazz Festival in Newport, Rhode Island. Lanzone is also an active investor in such companies as Houseparty, Resy, Aardvark, Sapho, Vurb, Tasty Labs, Luvocracy, MasterClass, Thumbtack, Popshop Live, and several others.
