Jim Nussle was director of the Office of Management and Budget under former President George W. Bush. His background includes 16 years in the U.S. House of Representatives and six years as chairman of the House Budget Committee. Since departing the White House, he founded The Nussle Group, a strategic consulting firm that utilizes his vast network and experience to serve clients in the fields of taxes, health care, energy, financial services and technology.

In 2010, he became president of Growth Energy, a trade association of renewable energy companies and industry partners. He had served on the founding board and as strategic consultant before being recruited by his fellow board members to help lead the organization to achieve dynamic growth. During his tenure, Growth Energy has nearly doubled its revenue and increased its membership by 18 percent.

In 2011, he joined the U.S. programs advisory counsel to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He continues to be a sought after speaker at professional, political and industry conferences, where he attempts to connect the often complicated and arcane budget and fiscal process in Washington to the lives of everyday citizens.
