Jimmy Fallon
Grammy & Emmy Award-Winning Host of "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon," SNL Alumnus & Author
Jimmy Fallon is a comedian, actor, television host, writer, and producer. He is known for his work in television, with notable roles as a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" and as the host of the late-night talk show "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," a position he has held since 2014. Before reaching this milestone, Fallon hosted "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon." Raised in New York City, Fallon developed an interest in comedy and music early on, eventually moving to Los Angeles at the young age of 21 to seize opportunities in stand-up comedy.
In 1998, at the age of 23, Fallon was commissioned to join NBC's "Saturday Night Live," fulfilling a lifelong dream. Fallon remained on "SNL" for six years, from 1998 to 2004, co-hosting the program's Weekend Update segment and becoming a celebrity in the process. His popularity grew as he showcased his talent for mimicry, gaining recognition for impressions of Robert De Niro, Jerry Seinfeld, and Howard Stern. He left the program in 2004 to pursue a career in the film industry, starring in films such as Taxi and Fever Pitch.
After his stint in film, Fallon returned to television as the host of "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" on NBC Studios in 2009. In this role, he became well known for his emphasis on music and video games. Fallon's unique style of humor and incorporation of musical performances won over viewers, leading to his appointment as the sixth permanent host of the long-running "The Tonight Show" in 2014. Outside of his television work, Fallon has released two comedy albums, "The Bathroom Wall" and the Grammy Award-winning "Blow Your Pants Off." He has also authored seven books, with a particular focus on children's literature, including the popular "Your Baby's First Word Will Be DADA" in 2015.
Throughout his career, Fallon has been recognized with several prominent awards. He has won six Emmy Awards, including one for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series in 2012 and 2013, six People's Choice Awards, and a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album in 2013 for his work on "SNL" and "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon." Additionally, Fallon's ongoing contributions to the entertainment industry led to his nomination for the Webby Awards' Best Web Personality/Host, Performances & Craft category in 2023.
