Jimmy O. Yang plays the series regular role "Jian Yang" on Mike Judge’s hit HBO comedy Silicon Valley.

He played his breakout role of Danny Meng in 2016 in Peter Berg's Patriots Day opposite Mark Wahlberg for CBS Films. He has also appeared in Crazy Rich Asians and Fresh Off the Boat.

He was a lead in Ben Falcone's feature comedy Life of the Party starring Melissa McCarthy for New Line Cinema. He appeared in a handful of features including Ted Melfi's comedy ensemble El Camino Christmas for Netflix, the Judd Apatow executive produced Independent feature Juliet, Naked opposite Ethan Hawke, Rose Byrne & Chris O'Dowd and The Happytime Murders for STX opposite Melissa McCarthy & Maya Rudolph.

His other television credits include recurring roles on TruTV's Those Who Can't and Direct TV's comedy series Things You Shouldn't Say Past Midnight. Additionally, he's guest starred on Drunk History, Another Period, 2 Broke Girls, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Criminal Minds, and Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

He is also the author of How to American: An Immigrant's Guide to Disappointing Your Parents, released in 2018. He continues to tour and perform stand-up.
