Jo received her Bachelor’s Degree from Kansas State University. In 1993 Heinz was elected President of Staffelbach, Inc. Her tireless and unselfish efforts to meet the Client’s project needs are only one of her professional trademarks. Her knowledge of Client service excellence is well- established and has made her a much-requested speaker on the subject. Her total understanding of the complexities of today’s interior environment, its impact on productivity and the business bottom line, combined with her Client commitment make her a team member with no equal.

Heinz is a Fellow Member of the International Interior Design Association. Her involvement in career related activities is extensive, and includes such highlights as President of the Dallas Architecture Forum, President of the National Council for Interior Design Qualification, Distinguished Alumnae Fellow of Kansas State University Alumnae Association, Co‑Chairman of the Development Committee of the Foundation for Interior Design Education Research, Chairman of the Jury Committee of the National Council for Interior Design Qualification, National President of the Institute of Business Designers and Chairman of the Institute of Business Designers’ Foundation.

Heinz has received several honors as a leader in her field including entrepreneurial award and Distinguished Service Award from Kansas State University, Silver Medallion Award from Interior Design magazine/IBD Interior Design Competition, Alumnae Fellow Designation from Kansas State University and was the first recipient of the IBD Distinguished Merit Award for outstanding contributions to the contract design industry.

Heinz is both a noted contributor to industry periodicals as well as a nationwide speaker for seminars and panels.
