Joe Cross

Australian Entrepreneur, Author, Filmmaker & Wellness Advocate; Best Known for "Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead"

As a celebrated health and wellness leader, Joe Cross inspires others to get healthy and lose weight through juicing and eating more plants and vegetables.

In 2005, Cross weighed 310 pounds. When his doctors told him that he would likely die early, he decided to consume only juice for 60 days in order to improve his health. Under the supervision of his doctor and a team that monitored his blood work regularly, he started the juice fast in May 2005.

Cross transformed from being obese and sick with a crippling autoimmune disease to losing weight and feeling his best during the juice fast, which he named a “Reboot.” Cross is the man behind and starring in the award-winning documentary film “Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead,” which has been seen by more than 30 million people worldwide and is largely responsible for introducing them to drink (and eat) something green.

Following the release of his documentary, Cross has published six books about juicing. In February 2014, Cross released his book titled The Reboot with Joe Juice Diet: Lose Weight, Get Healthy and Feel Amazing that became a New York Times best-seller. In addition, he’s released another film, The Kids Menu, which addresses childhood obesity.

Through books, films, in-person meet-ups and online programs, Cross continues to inspire and motivate a global community of people.
