Joel Rose is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of New Classrooms Innovation Partners, a role he assumed after his impactful tenure as the founder and CEO of School of One. This initiative within the New York City Department of Education integrates live, online, and collaborative learning to tailor instruction to the unique academic needs and learning preferences of each student. School of One garnered significant recognition, being named one of the top 50 inventions of 2009 by TIME magazine. Before his endeavors with New Classrooms and School of One, Rose played pivotal roles within the NYC Department of Education, serving as Chief Executive for Human Capital and Chief of Staff to the Deputy Chancellor. His career in education spans over 15 years, beginning as a fifth grade teacher in Houston through Teach For America, and including his time as a senior executive at Edison.
