Joey Harrington

Former NFL Quarterback, Broadcaster & Foundation Executive

Joey Harrington is a former NFL Quarterback for the Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins and Atlanta Falcons. He is a Heisman Trophy Finalist for #2 ranked University of Oregon Football, a TEDx Speaker, Sports Broadcaster on Fox, FX and OSN. He is also the founder of the Harrington Family Foundation and an accomplished Jazz Musician.

The pursuit of perfection is eroding innovation in companies, fracturing faith in our institutions, driving false-expectations in our families, and creating harmful self-image issues. Embracing our errors and failures provides each of us a better starting point for growth, increases our creativity, builds more authentic relationships, and sets the stage for becoming the best version of ourselves.

Joey Harrington bought into the dream of “perfection”. He became a star college quarterback and a Heisman Trophy Finalist who rarely lost a football game, and earned the third pick in the NFL draft. Then the losing started. He was vilified for the team’s failures. The dream of perfection was spiraling out of reach. Yet something remarkable happened to Harrington in the process...by accepting his setbacks and ending his pursuit of perfection, he found himself. His story of will be one of the most inspiring you will ever hear.
