Joey Okesson

Halfpipe Snowboarder; Youngest Member of the Men’s US Pro Halfpipe Team

Joey Okesson is an athlete from Southbury, Connecticut. His avid dedication to athletics has led him to have two top-ten finishes in the World cup and five top-ten finishes in the NorAm Cup.

Only 20 years old, Okesson has already made a name for himself in the international snowboarding world. He was originally selected as an alternate for the 2020 Burton US Open, and he ended up placing 5th in the competition. He is the youngest member of the Men’s US Pro Halfpipe Team, joining an elite company of athletes who jumped directly to the US Pro Snowboard Team.

Okesson grew up snowboarding in the northeast with his family. His younger brother, Tommy, is following in his footsteps, and both brothers competed at the 2020 Burton US Open.

Okesson attended Okemo Mountain School, and when he is not ripping on the snow, he is an avid skateboarder.
