There are many reasons why people battle with the controls imposed by social networking sites. While communication with their immediate group of friends is paramount, they must do so within the confines of the system that they have encountered. Our panel will explore the division between service providers and users, and the secret criteria that security teams use to block and restrict users from accessing sites. Our panel will consist of rights advocates, engineers, and leaders in the social networking world with a view into the secret world of rate limits, access control, and user interaction with online APIs.
