John Bussey is assistant managing editor and executive business editor of The Wall Street Journal and writes a column for the paper. His previous positions with the Journal include: reporter in the Chicago, Cleveland and Detroit bureaus; features editor on the page-one staff; Tokyo bureau chief; economics editor; foreign editor; deputy managing editor; editor-in-chief of the Far Eastern Economic Review and The Wall Street Journal Asia based in Hong Kong; and Washington bureau chief. His staff won three Pulitzer Prizes for international coverage. John contributed to a package of articles on the Sept. 11 2001 terrorist attacks that also received the Pulitzer Prize. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and a regular commentator on television and radio.
