John Byrne Barry

Author, "Bones in the Wash"

John Byrne Barry is the author of "Bones in the Wash."

He wrote his first book-length project — a 140-page treatise on dinosaurs — in fifth grade at Kilmer School in Chicago. One page for each dinosaur. Lots of white space.

He's been writing ever since — magazine and newspaper articles; workbooks and manuals, political comedy and strategic plans; even advice columns (Question the Authority and the Lazy Organic Gardener). He recently published "Bones in the Wash: Politics is Tough. Family is Tougher," a novel set during the 2008 presidential campaign in New Mexico.

He's also an editor, designer, trainer, and communications strategist.
