John Culver
President, China and Asia Pacific Starbucks Coffee Co.
Mr. John Culver has been Group President of China & Asia Pacific, Channel Development (CPG) and Emerging Brands at Starbucks Corporation since May 2013. Mr. Culver served as the President of Starbucks Coffee China and Asia Pacific at Starbucks Corp. from October 2011 to May 2013. He served as the President of Starbucks Coffee International at Starbucks Corp. from December 2009 to October 2011. Previously, Mr. Culver served as the President of Global Consumer Products (CPG) and Foodservice at Starbucks Corp. since September 2009. He served as an Executive Vice President and President of Global Consumer Products of Foodservice & at Starbucks Corp. since February 20, 2009 and September 2009 respectively. Mr. Culver joined Starbucks in August 2002 as Vice President and General Manager of Foodservice and was responsible for leading sales, marketing and operations. He served as the President of Global Consumer Products, Foodservice & Seattle's Best Coffee at Starbucks Corp. from February 20, 2009 to September 2009. He served as a Senior Vice President and President of Starbucks Coffee Asia Pacific at Starbucks Corp., from 2007 to February 20, 2009 and served as its Vice President and General Manager of Foodservice. Under Mr. Culver's leadership, his team worked to increase the presence of the Starbucks brand with key U.S. customers and to ensure that the quality standards were maintained in over 15,000 foodservice accounts. He was also responsible for cultivating the Starbucks Experience for all Starbucks company-operated, joint-venture and licensed markets within the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Culver served as a Vice President of Sales at Nestle USA and was responsible for foodservice sales and the sales development of more than 30 brands. Prior to Nestlé, he held various management positions within Houlihan's Restaurants. He has been a Director of Starbucks Coffee Japan, Ltd. June 2007. He served as a Director of International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) as a member and as treasurer. He served as a Member of Advisory Board for the Pacific Northwest Hospitality Industry, supporting City of Hope. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from Florida State University.
